Philip Hane, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist
Philip “Phil” Hane is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in rehabilitation from orthopedic and sports-induced injuries. Phil has returned to work for the Southern Maryland CAO clinics after previously working as a PT Tech.
Education
Phil attended Arcadia University in Philadelphia, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2020 while also playing soccer and lacrosse for the university. He then pursued his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Wheeling University in West Virginia.
Experience
As a recent graduate, Phil has gained extensive experience in both outpatient orthopedic settings and inpatient rehabilitation. He has worked with patients dealing with lower extremity, upper extremity, spine, and concussion/vestibular conditions. Phil has pursued further education in lumbar spine manual therapy and aspires to obtain his Sports Certified Specialist (SCS) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certifications to further specialize in working with athletes.
Philosophy
Phil is dedicated to providing individualized care focused on enhancing the day-to-day lives of his patients. He utilizes evidence-based approaches, combining strengthening, mobility, and manual therapy techniques to achieve optimal outcomes.
Personal Life
A former athlete, Phil continues to stay active by playing recreational soccer and lacrosse, as well as running and weightlifting. In his free time, he helps coach the St. Mary’s Ryken boys’ soccer team. Phil also enjoys cooking and proudly claims to make the best guacamole in the DMV area.
